Prajna Counselling Center conducts periodic contact programs for the benefit of all it’s communities. Among these are:
Events for children
- Quarterly get-together for the mainstreamed child labour and school drop-out children.
- Quarterly get-together for the de-institutionalized children and their families.
- Vocational guidance and counselling for a twice a year for children.
For Youth
- Employable and Life skill training – youth – 3 months twice a year.
- Family life education for adolescent and youth.
- Addiction prevention programme for youth.
- Pre-school education (Balasevika Training) for youth.
For Women
- Training on Psycho-social and legal intervention on prevention of violence against women.
- Handicraft Training cum Production - Embroidery, cut-work, stitching, kasuthi work, rexine, paper bag, greeting cards.
- Self-help groups and micro finance programme for women.
Special Trainings for citizens and government employees
- Training on counselling for social work professionals and volunteers in addiction, women’s empowerment, child development.
- Training for parents and teachers on psycho social aspects of child development.
- Orientation and Exposure visits to the social work fields for trainees and students of social work, psychology, sociology and nursing.
- Trainng on Child Protection and Child Participation w.r.t. J.J.Act 2000.
- Training for para-professionals (volunteers) on skills in working with children, working with women in difficult circumstances, working with addicts.
Volunteers Services
- Awareness Programme – Minimum four times for month – for villagers, self-help groups for women, youth groups, schools, colleges, factory workers and police personnel’s.
- Community-based de-addiction camp – once in 2 months in rural areas and in urban slums.
